TranscriptsStudents who plan to attend another college or university will need to send an official transcript of their academic record to that college. A transcript is a list of the academic courses a student has taken at NMC and the grades earned. Your official transcript will be sent to colleges or employers upon written request. If you request that the transcript be sent to you, it will be unofficial. Each request should include
The request may be made in person (Records & Registration Office), by mail (NMC Records Office, 1701 E. Front Street, Traverse City MI 49686-3061), by FAX request (231-995-1570) if included in the letter is your charge card number (VISA, MasterCard, or Discover) and expiration date to cover the transcript fee or online through Self-Service with your NMC ID and Password (See next paragraph below). Transcripts can be faxed to a third party for $7.00. To protect the confidentiality of the student, telephone requests cannot be honored. You may also obtain an unofficial copy of your transcript. The official transcript has an embossed stamp and the student transcript does not. Transcript requests can be completed only if all fees and obligations to NMC have been fulfilled. Current students may also view/print their transcript online at www.nmc.edu/webregistration; click on "Login Here", enter their NMC ID and Password, select "Student Records" menu, and then select "View Your Transcript". This will not be an official transcript. To request a transcript (and make the payment) online, select “Request Printed Transcript” from this same menu.
