Energy Demonstration Center

NMC offers several classes in renewable energy and energy efficiency technology, including courses and workshops in solar, wind, fuel cells, bio-fuels and green building technology.

What we do

  • Provide training and equipment for the regional workforce in renewable resources and energy efficiency technology
  • Facilitate discussion, education and outreach opportunities for the general public
  • Serve as a model for renewable energy innovation, while reducing energy costs at NMC

The Energy Demonstration Center also hosts conferences, tours, exhibits, and facilitates partnership programs.

The Energy Demonstration Center at NMC is one of eight demonstration centers in the state of Michigan. Established and funded in part by the Michigan Energy Office and Michigan Public Service Commission, the energy centers provide Michigan residents the opportunity to be at the forefront of using energy effectively.
