What is the SGA?
The
Student Government Association is comprised of a group of students that
represent the entire student body. They meet every Friday at 1:00 PM.
Each academic discipline appoints a representative and the student body
elects three second year or higher students to complete the board.
SGA
is funded by the student activity fee and is responsible for providing
a well-rounded program of activities throughout the year. SGA members
represent the student body on several college committees and has a
direct say in many decisions concerning students.

- SGA Constitution
Ratification
The student body will be given the opportunity to vote on the new SGA
constitution throughout the week of April 21. A voters table will be
set up in West Hall most afternoons. Please come to vote on the new
constitution, your vote counts. The new constitution appears in the
Meeting Minutes link under the name "NMC SGA Constitution.rtf" for you
to review.
- Fall Budget Proposals
The SGA will be looking at funding proposals from the various campus
groups and venues around the college throughout April. Awarded monies
will be disbursed to the groups in the fall and, prior to that, campus
groups will be made aware of their allotments before the end of this
semester.
All proposals must have been handed in before noon on Friday, April 11.
The SGA is currently not accepting any more funding proposals until
Fall 2008.
