Child Development Program

Some students select a course of study that requires a four-year degree of which two years may be completed at Northwestern Michigan College through completion of the Associate in Science and Arts degree (ASA).

Child Development courses, such as Early Childhood Education and Guiding Young Children are designed to prepare students to work with children and their families. Students may be seeking a career as a Director of a Child Care Program, or preparing for a further degree in Elementary Education or Social Work.
