Economics Program

Some students select a course of study that requires a four-year degree of which two years may be completed at Northwestern Michigan College through completion of the Associate in Science and Arts degree (ASA).

The most basic and enduring strength of Economics is that it provides a logical , ordered way of looking at various problems and issues. It draws upon geography, history, philosophy and mathematics to address topics ranging from how an individual, household or firm, can make sound decisions to societal issues, such as how to confront unemployment, inflation or environmental decay. As a result, Economics is widely recognized as a solid back ground for many jobs and professions. Students interested in this field of study will select courses from the links below.
