- Advising — Counselors provide assistance with course and program selection
- Bridge Program — The Bridge Program is designed to help adult students make the transition into higher education while at the same time preparing them for today's workplace. Thus, the program is comprised of intensive, hands-on skill building in communications, computers, and mathematics.
- Calendars -- Covers events related to NMC including student, staff, faculty events as well as conferences, concerts, meetings, etc.
- Center for Learning — Academic skills improvement, textbook software, computer applications, enrichment seminars, orientation, O.P.E.N. Learning, plus professional staff to assist you. Osterlin Library, (231) 995-2134.

- Distance Learning / Flexible Learning Options(FLO) — Provides you with convenient alternatives for your education. NMC offers interactive television courses, telecourses, online courses, and OPEN courses which allow you to continue your educational career even if you face barriers such as inconvenient class schedules, job commitments, family responsibilities or location.
- Easy Writer (opens in a new window) — Easy Writer will answer your grammar and writing questions. It is the primary resource for all Communications dept. composition classes, and highly recommended for all writing classes. Contact the Communications dept. at 995-1175 for more information.
- Learning Opportunities — A comprehensive list of degrees, certificates, course descriptions, course schedules, etc.
- Library — Books, periodicals, audio-visual carrels, seminar rooms, business classrooms, and computer labs. Osterlin Library and Media Services, (231) 995-1060.
- O.P.E.N. Learning — Courses are designed to accommodate students' varied scheduling needs. Students may enroll at any time, plan a learning schedule in collaboration with a Center for Learning professional consultant, and progress at an individual pace. O.P.E.N. courses are ideal for students who either want to accelerate their progress or expand the time available to complete the course. - Service Learning — Offers students the opportunity to earn one to four college credits in a supervised field experience. It may be used to explore careers, apply classroom theory to real situations, gain practical experience or to invest time in strengthening the community. - University Center — Bachelor's completion and advanced degree programs available in Traverse City. See the "Community Services" section in the print catalog or call (231) 995-1777.
- Upward Bound — Upward Bound is a college-preparatory program that serves 60 students enrolled in grades 9-12 from the Traverse City and Suttons Bay school districts. Students receive tutoring, study skills, cultural and personal enrichment opportunities, colleges tours, and maintain weekly contact with the Upward Bound staff.
