Training & Research utilizes a variety of assessment tools designed to assist an organization in analyzing their performance, identifying gaps, and selecting or designing an effective intervention that is aligned with the organization’s mission, vision, goals, and strategies.

Leadership and Team Skills Assessments

 

Assist organizations to identify current strengths as well as professional development opportunities. Training & Research offers a variety profiles from personal enlightenment to 360º evaluations. Training & Research staff can work with you to develop customized assessments to address your specific needs.

  • Myers Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) is one of the most widely used psychological assessment tools for indicating personality styles and preferences. It provides individuals with better insight into their own style of work and an appreciation for others’ styles. An excellent tool for developing leadership strengths and team building. This tool demonstrates how differences can be valuable rather than divisive and shows how differences can be used constructively to improve problem solving, communication, manage conflict, and increase understanding.

  • DiSC provides a nonjudgmental language for exploring behavioral issues across four primary dimensions: Dominance, influence, Steadiness, and Conscientiousness.

Technical Skills Assessments

Assist organizations in identifying core competencies for each job classification and objectively measure employee competence, identify training needs, and measure training outcomes. These assessments provide an objective tool to assess skills of potential workers as well as incumbent workers seeking promotion.

 

  • NOCTI (The National Occupational Competency Testing Institute) is a leading provider of occupational competency assessments and services including job and task analysis, test development, written and performance assessments, scoring services, and specialized reporting. Training & Research clients have the option of selecting from over 170 standardized technical tests in a variety of occupational fields or customizing assessments for their specific needs.

  • Work Keys is a national system for teaching and assessing workplace skills. Developed by ACT, Work Keys offers job profiling (analysis) as well as assessments of generic workplace skills. Work Keys is a legally defensible assessment tool for screening new hires as well as measuring skills of incumbent workers prior to promotion. Skill areas include: Applied Mathematics, Applied Technology, Listening, Locating Information, Observation, Reading for Information, Teamwork, and Writing.

TRAC offers two types of IT Skills Assessments:

  • Customized Assessments can help organizations define specific computer skills required for employees at various job levels. These assessments then provide the basis for identifying training needs and developing customized training plans.

  • Microsoft Office Specialist Certification (MOS) validates a person’s Microsoft Office 2000 or XP expertise.
