CALL TO ORDER
The special meeting was called to order at 8:00 p.m. by Chair Michael McManus.

APPROVAL OF AGENDA
The agenda was approved on a motion by Elaine Wood, seconded by Jack Stegenga.
PUBLIC INPUT
Public input was heard from John Richards regarding his concern that local engineering
firms have not been awarded mechanical engineering design contracts from the public
schools, and that NMC is considering an outside mechanical engineering firm for
its construction projects. Mike McManus clarified that the only contract under
consideration at this time is the Integrated Science and Technology Learning Center.
INTEGRATED SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY LEARNING CENTER (ISTLC)
Robert Chase made a motion, seconded by Shirley Okerstrom, authorizing the administration
to enter into a contract with Cornerstone Architects, Inc. in the amount of $750,000
(proposed amount of $686,200, plus 10% contingency) for the design and engineering
of the new Integrated Science and Technology Learning Center (ISTLC). Motion passed.
The meeting was adjourned at 8:35 p.m.
