The board conducted interviews with Barbara Benson, K. Ross Childs, and Eileen Shimizu, the three finalists being considered for the vacancy on the board of trustees. The board reached consensus to authorize Michael McManus to offer the appointment to K. Ross Childs. If he accepts, formal appointment will be made at the regular board meeting on Monday, September 24, 2001.
The study session adjourned at 8:45 p.m.
