SPECIAL MEETING
CALL TO ORDER
The special meeting was called to order at 5:35 p.m. by Chair Michael McManus.

APPROVAL OF AGENDA
The agenda was approved on a motion by Cheryl Follette, seconded by Jack Stegenga.

PUBLIC INPUT
None.

AVIATION LEASE AGREEMENT
Cheryl Gore Follette made a motion to table action item E until the actual leases are received; there was no second to this motion. Ross Childs made a motion, seconded by William Janis, that if leases are not received, the administration be authorized to acquire the simulator and not the planes at the present time. Following discussion, Ross amended his motion, seconded by William Janis, that the administration be authorized to enter into a contractual agreement to lease three Cessna 172 airplanes for a one-year period at a cost not to exceed $100,000 and to lease one Frasca 242-6 simulator for a one-year period at a cost not to exceed $75,000. Motion passed.

AVIATION MAINTENANCE CONTRACT
Jack Stegenga made a motion, seconded by Walter Hooper, that the administration be authorized to enter into a contractual agreement with Northwestern Aviation Specialties to maintain NMC’s fleet of aircraft for a three-year period. The annual expense cannot exceed $250,000 without prior approval. Motion passed.
