Services for Students Needing Support

“In compliance with Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 (PL93-1112), as amended (PL 93-516)), and with Title II and Title III of the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990, no qualified individual with a disability in the United States shall be excluded from, denied the benefits of, or be subjected to discrimination due to their disability. All colleges that receive federal financial assistance must provide reasonable accommodations to students with documented disabilities under Section 504 of the American Disabilities Act.”

Support Services Mission....

The Office of Support Services (OSS) contributes to a positive learning environment for students and ensures equal access to education so that students with disabilities can freely and actively participate in college learning. OSS also promotes community awareness of the needs and potential of individuals with disabilities.

Northwestern Michigan College offers a wide range of services for students that have disabilities and/or need accommodations in order to achieve their academic goals. With the appropriate documentation services may include but are not limited to:

The Office for Support Services is located in the back of the main floor of the Osterlin Library. Office hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday-Friday. Online students needing support services who are not able to meet during regular office hours can contact our office to set up an appointment. For further information contact:
