18-Hour Planned Program/Professional Certification

Professional certification is the next level of certification that follows the provisional. To obtain a professional teaching certificate, you must:

  • Hold a provisional certificate

  • Complete 18 semester hours in a program plan; and

  • Have taught successfully for three years in the grade levels and subjects for which you are certified.
