Homeland Security: Digital Security and Forensics Certificate

Responding to industry trends, the Homeland Security: Digital Security and Forensics Certificate is a cooperative venture between Ferris' College of Business and the College of Education Criminal Justice Program. This certificate is part of Ferris' new Bachelor of Science in Information Security and Intelligence degree, a multidisciplinary degree that targets both corporate needs, as well as those of law enforcement, defense and intelligence organizations.

Created to increase the options available for FSU students seeking to supplement their education in the field of homeland security, this certificate consists of four courses designed to make the student a more thorough investigator in cyber crime scenes. Required certificate courses include the following:

HSCJ 202, Principles of Information Security--3 credits
HSCJ 210, Digital Forensics & Incident Response--3 credits
HSCJ 315, Advanced Digital Forensics & Response--3 credits
HSCJ 317 Fraud Examination--3 credits
