Bachelor of Social Work

Building on a strong liberal arts foundation, professional courses in this program develop knowledge, skills, and values relating to understanding and applying theories of human behavior within the social environment and to utilization of interviewing as a means of assessing problematic situations; to problem-solving with individuals, families, small groups, and communities; and to understanding the complexities of social welfare policies and services as well as the skills of social research.
