How Do I?
Access material on
reserve — Some instructors leave materials for students
to review in the Zonta Library. Ask a Zonta library or Welcome staff person
for assistance. The materials are in locked cupboards in the library.
Students are required to sign out the material which generally must remain
in the Zonta Library.
Access my personal
drive — A personal or "Q" drive is attached to
a student Log-On ID that allows files to be saved on the network. These
files can be accessed from any NMC or UC computer. Students are asked
to save all files to a floppy disc or CD as a backup. UC students can
access the "Q" drive by scrolling down the SAVE AS options
until they see their own personal Log-On ID on cluster data Q, or by simply
using the Start button and typing in Q: All Unversity Center students
are given three megabytes of space on their "Q" drive. These
drives are erased at end of semester.
Obtain a computer
account — Current University Center students may request
a computer account from either a Zonta library assistant or the person
on duty at the Welcome Center. Student will complete a form that includes
NMC's computer usage policy and a Log-On ID card. Students are encouraged
to review the computer usage policy and keep the Log-On ID card with their
account number and password with them at all times.
Request interlibrary
loan — Materials are available through an interlibrary
loan request. Inquire at the office of the university you are attending
for details. Students may complete a request online or fill out a paper
form in Zonta. Delivery dates and cost will vary from school to school.
