The mission of the Northwestern
Michigan College University Center is to facilitate the delivery of high
quality programs and course offerings beyond the associate degree level
to northwest Michigan as deemed desirable by the citizens of the region.
Our Vision
The Northwestern Michigan
College University Center is a higher education collaborative founded
by, for and of the people of northwest Michigan. It is a "communiversity"
designed to provide programs and course offerings beyond the associate
degree level in partnership with accredited colleges and universities,
the citizens of northwest Michigan, and public schools from throughout
the northwestern Michigan service area. The Northwestern Michigan College
University Center is a model for meeting the higher education needs of
rural areas of our state and nation. It is a source of pride for all of
the people of our area and is recognized for excellence in programming
and related services. And it is forward-looking, always seeking new and
innovative ways to help the citizens of northwest Michigan fulfill their
higher education goals and aspirations.
