Satisfactory Academic Progress Policy

Students are required to maintain satisfactory academic progress according to published standards established and enforced by NMC and which have been approved by the State Approving Agency (SAA) and accepted by the Department of Veterans Affairs (DVA). Please refer to NMC catalog under Academic Probation/Suspension for details.

The DVA will not provide allowance for the following classes or courses:
Audit or non-credit courses, Continuing Education courses, Recreational courses, Programs already qualified for or licensed in, Repeat courses that already have been satisfactorily completed, and Classes in which a 0 or Non-Punitive grade (W or I) is given for non-attendance. A student who wishes to claim mitigating circumstances will need to complete and send a Statement in Support of Claim.
