Position: Family Services Coordinator:

Responsibilities:
The Family Services Coordinator will be responsible for connecting entire
families to the after-school work that SEEDS is engaged in ten schools in
four counties. This person will work with each of ten school Advisory Teams
and the social service sector to identify areas of need and leverage services
and programming. Each school site will host programming and activities that
enrich both students and their families (e.g. academic and job skills, money
management, inter-personal relations, nutrition). This will be accomplished
through a combination of Coordinator instruction and guest service providers.
The Family Coordinator is also expected to be diligent about data collection.
They will be expected to:
• Attend Community Collaborative meetings of Manistee, Benzie, Leelanau
and Kalkaska Counties.
• Create and coordinate high quality programming.
• Maintain alignment between activities and community needs.
• Recruit families to the program.
• Coordinate family-accessible activities including nights and weekends.
• Work collaboratively with a team of support staff.
• Occasionally work in the field with Youth Corps Teams.
• Nurture connections with school staff, participating students, their
families, program partners/providers, other program sites, and evaluators.
• Network and build community support.
Particulars:
• Full-Time Position with benefits. Compensation commensurate with
experience.

SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for carrying out elements of the Tribe’s
Planning Work Program and Bureau of Indian Affairs Indian Reservation Roads
Long Range Transportation Plan, under the supervision of the Tribal Planning
Director. Work will involve complex assignments in construction management,
traffic analysis and planning, and may also include to some degree, environmental
analysis and geographic information system applications.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties
may be assigned.
• Assist in the implementation of Department goals, objectives, policies
and priorities.
• Prepare public information materials (i.e., flyers, public notices,
forms), as necessary.
• Assist with the preparation of applications for development proposals.
• Responsible for the development and maintenance of the Long Range
• Transportation Plan, Transportation Improvement Program, and provide
staff
support to various advisory committees.
• Prepare correspondence, reports, charts and other materials necessary
to accomplish departmental goals.
• Performs specific research, planning and technical analysis for
various transportation and transit related projects.
• Plan, coordinate, and implement various transportation projects
such as road construction, intersection studies, and transportation demand
estimation modeling.
• Perform calculations such as determining distance, area and tabulating
statistical data.
• Maintain and update demographic and zoning data such as population,
housing and land use, as they pertain to the Long Range Transportation Plan
and Model.
• Perform related duties and other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Knowledge of: Tribal, Local, State and Federal regulations relating
to the provision of transportation facilities and services
• English grammar, spelling and punctuation
• Research, filing and record-keeping methods and procedures
• Operations of personal computer, specifically Windows-based word
processing, spreadsheet, and transportation modeling programs
EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s degree in transportation planning, engineering, public
administration or a related field is required; and two years experience
in transportation planning, engineering, or project management. A combination
of education and experience with demonstrated knowledge and proven experience
in the ability to perform the necessary duties and responsibilities of the
position may be considered.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
• Must possess valid driver’s license, be insurable, and have
reliable transportation
• Must pass a background investigation
COMMUNICATION SKILLS:
Ability to professionally furnish and obtain information from other departments;
contact with other departments, requiring tact and judgment to avoid friction;
contact with the public presenting data that may influence important decisions;
ability to correctly interpret and apply governmental policy, procedures,
and regulations; ability to accurately and effectively communicate regulations
and procedures to others; ability to prepare concise, comprehensive, and
accurate written reports and correspondence.
ANALYTICAL ABILITY:
Prioritize tasks; work well under pressure and impending deadlines; establish
effective working relationships with employees, the public, and government
bodies; ability to graphically convey data and planning proposals in an
easily understood format.

SUMMARY:
The Office Manager for Health Administration ensures the offices of the
Health Director and Medical Director run smoothly and efficiently by providing
general clerical support and handling administrative business details. The
Office Manager professionally represents Health Administration and supports
the activities of the Health Department. Serve as the department Site Manager
for the RPMS computer records system, assigns system access according to
job requirements for all of the Health Department employees, and acts as
the main Clinical Applications Coordinator for the Electronic Health Records
Computer system.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties
may be assigned.
• Handles all medical information according to confidentiality policy
and HIPPA Federal Legal Regulations.
• Provides clerical support to the Health Director and Medical Director
• Read and route incoming mail, transcribes dictations
• Compose and type routine correspondence proficiently
• Organizes and maintains file systems, organizes staff meetings,
and health events
• Attends meeting and takes concise notes or meeting minutes
• Answers and screens Health Administration telephone calls
• Arranges Health Department meetings and conference calls.
• Coordinates travel arrangements for the Health Director and Medical
Director in accordance with LTBB governmental policy
• Orders and maintains department office supplies; arranges for equipment
maintenance
• Assists with audio visual presentations-power point
• Maintain files for all budget expenditures of Health Clinic and
Administration
• Maintains files for employees required annual HIPPA training, CPR,
Infection control RPMS access level and emergency training ,TB testing and
travel reports
• Assists with Grant Management and compliance
• Serve as Site Manager for RPMS computer records system and the main
Clinical Applications Coordinator for the EHR computer system
• Trains employees on new applications in the RPMS or EHR computer
systems
• Adds new drugs into the EHR and completes prescriptions in EHR program
daily
• Responsible for Backing up the computer system tapes daily
• Attends appropriate training as needed and required
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
• High School Diploma / GED required
• Medical Assistant Certificate with Clerical course or three years
related Medical office experience required
• RPMS and EHR experience preferred.
SKILLS and ABILITES:
• Must possess strong computer skills and typing proficiency (Microsoft
Professional Suite)
• Must be able to work independently
• Must have excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication
skills; must have problem solving and good organizational skills
• Must be able to travel overnight as needed, and be willing to flex
schedule as needed
