The Great Lakes Bioneers Conference is a satellite conference held on the campus of Northwestern Michigan College every third week of October. This year's conference is the weekend of October 20-22, 2006.
The main Bioneers Conference takes place in San Rafael California, and is in its 15th year. "Bioneers" is a term combining the pioneer spirit with the idea of ecological solutions to sustainable living. The Bioneers conference highlights the individuals and organizations that are forging the way to sustainable living solutions based on environmental, and socially just, alternatives.
Gary Howe is in on the Great Lakes Bioneers planning committee, which is largely an all volunteer effort which begins the day after the conference ends. If you have any suggestions or proposals please contact Gary Howe, or contact the conference planners through the Great Lakes Bioneers Conference web site.
