| C. gracilis is a variable species with podetia that may be tall and pointed, short and blunt, or even in the form of cups, that sometimes proliferate from the margins. The distinguishing characteristics of this species are the brownish tinge and continuous, smooth, corticate surface of the podetia. Pycnidia and apothecia are dark brown. |
