| C. pinastri is a yellow-green lichen with a bright yellow medulla. It grows closely attached to the bark of trees, especially at the base of conifers. The lower surface is white with a few rhizines. The thallus lobes are 1-2 cm wide with bright yellow soralia along the margins. |
