| This crustose lichen is the color of pale egg yolks. When present, the thallus consists of granules or areoles. The apothecia have a distinct rim that is the same color as the thallus. Sometimes the apothecia are present without a thallus, and sometimes a thallus is present and apothecia are lacking. It grows on rock, bark or old wood. |
