| This small Peltigera is often found among the mosses in open fields, disturbed areas or along shady banks. It is dark gray or brown with contrasting lighter round patches of soredia on the upper surface. The soredia disappear when the lichen matures and produces apothecia. The lower surface has tan tomentum with raised brown veins. |
