| This very common foliose lichen is a light mineral gray. It forms large patches on trees and rocks that are exposed to the sun. The lobes are linear with reticulate markings and a brownish tinge at the tips. Soredia develop over the surface of the thallus, especially at the ridges. The lower surface is black with many rhizines. |
