| P. tuckermanii is a large, mineral gray foliose lichen. The large lobes are distinctly ridged and wrinkled with erect ends and black margins. Both soredia and isidia are present along with numerous apothecia. The undersides are white with mottled brown. It is loosely attached to conifers in open areas. |
