| X. cumberlandia is a yellow-green foliose lichen that grows tightly attached to rocks, monuments, and roofs. It forms large circular patches of crowded lobes with numerous large apothecia. The discs are dark brown with rims that are folded over at the edges. The lower surface is tan with rhizines. |
