NMC University Center Search Engine
This searches only the University Center web pages.
It does not search any of the UC partner web sites.
Instructions
Choose the "Match"
setting for your search.
- "All" requires that all the search terms
you enter be present in a document.
- "Any" requires that only one of the search
terms you enter be present in a document. The more search terms that
are found in a document, the higher it will appear in the search results.
Search Tips
Truncation (searching
for variations of words):
By default, the search engine
will return only those documents that contain all of the words you search
for.
You may truncate search terms and search for variations of words by placing
an asterisk at the end, e.g.,
"engineer*" will search for
"engineer," "engineers," "engineered,"
and "engineering."
Searching for a Specific Phrase:
Place quotation marks around the phrase,
e.g., "indicators of success".
Including or Excluding Words:
If you select "Any"
from the "Match" setting, you may also emphasize
which search terms must appear as well as
state which terms you do not want to appear by using a plus (+)
or minus (-) sign in front of terms, e.g.,
+engineer -engineering
will require that "engineer" appear in a document while simultaneously
require that "engineering" does not.
