Jane T. McNabb, Treasurer

Janie McNabb was appointed to the Board June 26, 2017, to fill the seat resigned by former Trustee Marilyn Gordon Dresser. In November 2018, McNabb was elected to serve the remainder of the term held by Dresser, which expires December 31, 2020. She is a member of the NMC BBQ board, as well as the NMC Board of Trustees Audit, Fellows Nominating, and the Presidential Performance and Compensation Committees.

McNabb works as a consultant with Strategic Policy Consultants, specializing in workforce development policy and program development. She previously worked with the Networks Northwest workforce development system in multiple roles, most recently as Chief Operating Officer for Northwest Michigan Works!, overseeing staff and programming. Prior to that, she served as Networks Northwest’s Director of Program Development and Community Relations, creating and directing workforce programs for area employers.

McNabb serves on the Junior Achievement Advisory Board and the Blue Cross/Blue Shield of Michigan Community Advisory Committee, has served as co-chair for the Traverse Bay Poverty Reduction Initiative, and graduated from the Traverse City Chamber's Leadership Grand Traverse program. The Traverse City Business News recognized her as one of the region's 40 most influential leaders under 40 from 2009 to 2013, and as one of its most influential women in 2014.

McNabb holds a Master’s Degree in Organizational Management from Spring Arbor University via the NMC University Center, and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Grand Valley State University. She attended NMC for two years before transferring to Grand Valley State University.
