DISC training now available
TRAVERSE CITY — NMC’s Training Services division has added DISC behavioral styles training to its suite of professional development offerings.
Trainers Heather Fraizer (top right) and Betsy Williams (bottom right) completed the 24 hour DISC training certification in October in response to requests for the training from customers.
DISC behavioral style is a model for assessing and understanding individuals natural behavioral tendencies. The DISC behavior dimensions are: Dominance: Prefers to be in charge. Influencing: Prefers involvement with people Steadiness: Prefers predictable structure. Compliance: Prefers procedures and order.
DISC training creates more positive, productive communication in the workplace by helping employees understand their own behavior and communication styles, Fraizer said. The end result is more teamwork, improved performance and goal attainment in the workplace.
DiSC behavioral training works well with most segments of an organization. Several companies locally use DISC to improve team effectiveness.
Interested clients are invited to contact Williams or Fraizer to explore opportunities. Training may be scheduled at NMC or at a client’s office.
