The third annual TEDxTraverseCity will take place on Wednesday, May 15, 2013, from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the Milliken Auditorium at Northwestern Michigan College.

TEDxTraverseCity is supported by FIM Group and Northwestern Michigan College to bring together the most innovative and inspiring minds. We will honor innovators who have passion, curiosity, creativity and adaptability to change the world with revolutionary ideas.

NMC is proud to host TEDx Traverse City, an independently organized TED event, at the Dennos Museum Center. As an institution of higher learning, NMC's mission, vision, values and strategic directions align well with the TED organization's mission to promote "ideas worth spreading."

In 2011, a full house attended the first TEDx Traverse City. Rave reviews followed. NMC students Ashley Flees and Travis Miller were among the presenters for the inaugural event. The 2012 event sold out in hours and NMC students Nargilya Gasanova and Anjanette Merriweather were two of the showcased speakers for the day.

Videos from the event can be found on NMC's main TEDx Traverse City page and the TEDx Traverse City website, and you can search for all TEDx Traverse City talks on YouTube.

TED and TEDx events are held nearly every day around the globe.
