Get a behind the scenes look at NMC

TRAVERSE CITY — Northwestern Michigan College is offering the public a chance to tour facilities and talk with people in charge of some of their most innovative programs, Thursday, November 14.

Get an inside look at Northwestern Michigan College like never before. This three-hour motor coach tour begins and ends at the college’s beautiful Great Lakes Campus located on West Grand Traverse Bay where you’ll hear from representatives of the college’s Great Lakes Maritime Academy, Great Lakes Water Studies Institute and the Great Lakes Culinary Institute.

Continue on to the college’s Aero Park Campus with facilities adjacent to Cherry Capital Airport and discover a host of programs from aviation and automotive to engineering, robotics, construction technology and more.

Your next stop will be the college’s main campus, home to the Dennos Museum Center, classrooms, laboratories, residence halls and much more.

The tour will conclude where you started, at the Great Lakes Campus with an informal reception where you can share your observations and talk with NMC administrators.

The tour is being held Thursday, November 14 from 1 p.m. to approximately 4 p.m., with the reception to follow, and the cost is only $5. Space is limited, and registration is required.
