GirlTECH

Grand Traverse area girls will learn how to make strides in non-traditional careers at the thirteenth annual GirlTECH Friday, November 21, 2014 at NMC's Parsons-Stulen Building.

GirlTECH was developed to encourage high school girls enrolled in any Traverse Bay Area Intermediate School District school to consider non-traditional careers, defined as those careers in which women comprise 25 percent or less of the workforce.

Multiple speakers will discuss their career paths network with students. Non-traditional students from NMC and the TBA Career-Tech Center will present students with information about local training programs for high school junior and seniors and NMC programs.

Event sponsors include NMC, the American Association of University Women, Traverse Bay Area Career-Tech Center, Benzie Area Zonta Club and the Zonta Club of Leelanau County.
