Festival of Foods


Thank you to all the wonderful chefs, businesses, and participants who made the 2018 Festival of Foods a success!

Enjoy a day of demonstrations and food discover at Hagerty Center, overlooking Grand Traverse Bay. Area chefs and specialty food businesses dish up cooking tips and techniques, while you enjoy tasty samples. Each hour highlights four workshops—you select your favorite 4 of the 16 options.

Returning presenters include Chefs Stephanie Wiitala and Jonathan Dayton (S2S), Chef Janene Silverman (Raduno), Chefs Eric Patterson and Jen Blakeslee (The Cooks' House) and Kim Fish (The Cheese Lady), along with many new chefs and experts:

  • Pick up professional skills from Chef Adam Raupp (Mission Table/Jolly Pumpkin)
  • Get charcuterie tips from Chef Adam McMarlin (Wren the Butcher)
  • Explore the many uses of chilies with Bryon Figueroa (Figs)
  • Savor tantalizing flavors of the Mediterranean with Matt Knickerbocker (Ziatun Café)
  • Discover Soups from Scratch with Karan Josephus (Bill Marsh’s Cruisin’ Café).
  • Add sweets, bread making, vegetarian options and much more for a wonderful day!
