Fri., March 19, 10-11 a.m. Join NMC's Director of Music Jeffrey Cobb as he shares how a book written to commemorate the 100th Anniversary of the Women's Voting Rights Act, became a concert piece for choir and jazz orchestra, which became a virtual performance project involving the NMC Choirs, NMC Audio Tech and Visual Communications students. This Coffee Chat begins with an upbeat interview of the speaker followed by a live zoom session to continue the conversation. You are invited to participate during the live Q and A portion if you choose.<br><br>

CHANGED TO: 18 Mon. and Wed., Jan. 25-May 24, 5:30-7 p.m., Fine Arts Bldg. Rm. 115. This mixed (SATB) choral ensemble is open to community members and college students with past choral experience. The Chamber Singers provide an educational and personal enrichment experience made possible through singing quality choral literature with an emphasis on newer works and works for small choral ensembles. Performance excellence is principal to the purpose of the ensemble. The Chamber Singers perform throughout the semester and frequently perform with the Traverse Symphony Orchestra. May also be taken for academic credit. To arrange an audition, email jecobb@nmc.edu. This semester's instruction and rehearsals will be virtual, and then hybrid if possible. The final performance will be virtual or in person at an outdoor venue (dependent on the state of the pandemic and health protocols). Virtual rehearsals and sectionals are supplemented with practice recordings and self-directed rehearsals.

The GT Chorale provides an educational experience and personal enrichment made possible through singing quality choral literature selected from antiquity through the 21st century with an emphasis on large masterworks. Performance excellence is principal to the Chorale. The GT Chorale performs throughout the semester and frequently performs with the Traverse Symphony Orchestra.
