How your child benefits from GRASP

By staying engaged with academic learning, you minimize the backsliding that naturally occurs over the summer months when children are away from a school routine. Our caring GRASP teacher/consultants foster learning by getting to know each student (meet them below!)

How it works

Students complete one lesson a week for 9 weeks, June 20-Aug. 19, 2022 (about 5-6 pages per lesson) and mail it to the teachers who review, score, and mail them back to your child with encouraging guidance. GRASP is intended to be a review of your child's current grade (K-8) completed this June; however, some students will work below grade level, and some above. Check with your child's teacher if you are unsure which level is best. All materials are mailed to you free of charge at the start of the summer. At our virtual Start-Up Session in June (recorded so you may watch later), you'll meet the teachers, receive essential information to enhance your child's learning experience, and see how the program works.

Reading Program

Language Arts lessons are grade-appropriate and include reading, spelling, comprehension, grammar and phonics.

Math PRogram

Math lessons are grade-appropriate and include reviews of basic math functions, fractions, percents, graphs, geometry and much more.

Cost and financial assistance

2021 prices for this 9-week program were $99 for one subject; or $149 for one child taking both subjects. This includes all materials and weekly postage. Materials are mailed in June to the address provided at registration. Partial financial assistance is available; application link will be posted here when registration begins for 2022.
