Eliminating Self-Defeating Behaviors Workshop
A one-day professional and personal development workshop in “Eliminating Self-Defeating Behaviors” will be offered through NMC Extended Education on Friday, Oct. 21, 8:45 a.m.-4 p.m.
Workshop leader, Gregory Boothroyd, PhD, CAAC, LPC, is the author of Going Home—A Positive Guide for Promoting Life-Generating Behaviors, a nationally known lecturer, and Professor Emeritus of Western Michigan University where he served as Professor of Counseling.
Dr. Boothroyd explores commonly practiced self-defeating behaviors (including excessive worry, anxiety, eating disorders, inferiority, perfectionism, procrastination, and many others) and highlights twelve practical techniques to assist in transitioning to life-generating behaviors and attitudes. The entertaining and insightful workshop is designed for those in helping professions and the general public. It provides approved continuing education for nurses and is MCBAP qualified.
