Program: Accountancy - Public Accounting

The Ferris State University Accountancy degree provides students with the knowledge and experience to enter one of the many career choices in the accounting profession. The degree will enhance students technical skills and help develop communication, research, problem solving, teamwork, and leadership skills, which are essential for graduates entering the accounting profession. If a student's goals include obtaining CPA certification, this accounting degree flows into the Masters of Business Administration program.

ADMISSION CRITERIA

  1. Admission to the program requires a cumulative GPA of 2.35
  2. 48 transferable semester credit hours with a 2.0 or better in order to transfer the courses.
  3. Completion of ENG 111 and MTH 111 with a 2.0 or competency via ACT, SAT, or Accuplacer.
  4. It is strongly recommended that students with transfer credits from other institutions work in conjunction with Ferris advisors who will able to determine which classes will transfer into their Bachelor program.

BASIC REQUIREMENTS

Completion of the BASIC requirements, as listed, at NMC will fulfill most of the general education requirements at FSU.  Upon request at the NMC Records Office, a statement will be placed on your transcript, "MICHIGAN TRANFER AGREEMENT (MTA) SATISFIED."
