Program: Dental Hygiene

Ferris State University offers an Applied Associate degree in Dental Hygiene. Successful completion of the program grants you eligibility to take the licensing examinations necessary to practice dental hygiene. The program is a three-year program, with the first year considered the prerequisite (pre-professional) year, with the second and third years being devoted to the dental hygiene professional courses. The courses you take at NMC are part of the prerequisite (pre-professional) courses and you must complete the courses with a 2.0 to be acceptable at FSU. Please make contact with FSU as soon as possible. For information please contact (231) 591-2261.  Application must be made from Jan.15–31 for the following fall. This is a fall start program and there is no waiting list kept, so application must be made each year.  Students may apply Jan 15-31 while still completing admission requirements in the Spring semester but those who alreadyvcompleted admission criteria in the Fall semester will be have priority in the admission for that year.
