NMC Transfer Guide - MACRAO

To: Oakland University - Main Campus

Program: Business Administration

The School of Business Administration program enables students to combine the intensive study of a functional area of business with a broad background in management. This combination will allow students to understand and manage changing situations in profit oriented enterprises and not-for-profit organizations, both public and private. In this program, a general education is combined with rigorous analytical training, enabling students to handle the increasing complex and changing problems faced by managers.

  • Accounting
  • Economics
  • Finance
  • General Management
  • Human Resources Management
  • Management Information Systems
  • Marketing

(Minors in all of the above plus: International Management, Production and Operations Management and Quantitative Methods.)

  1. GPA 2.8 (Your GPA will be established at OU because all transfer students will be placed into pre-business until they meet admission class requirements.)

Although Oakland University is a member of MACRAO, Oakland requires additional hours of General Education for their students beyond the 32 hours granted by MACRAO. Students are required to complete two additional general education courses once they transfer to OU which may be completed in your major.
