The School of Engineering offers a degree of Bachelor of Science in Engineering with majors in:

Admission Criteria

GPA is competitive; 2.8 is the minimum for consideration to the School of Engineering and Computer Science.

Basic Requirements

Oakland University participates in the Michigan Transfer Agreement (MTA). After transferring to Oakland University, students must complete a writing intensive in the major and a capstone course. Students who have satisfied the MTA agreement must also either transfer in a course that is acceptable for knowledge application (KA) requirement or take an approved KA course at OU after transferring. Request the MTA stamp be placed on your transcripts in the NMC's records office.

Note: Course not numbered will work for engineering majors 1-7 listed above. Courses for specific majors are followed by its number(s) in parenthesis.

BIO 115, 116, CHM 151/151L/151R can be used as an approved math/science elective at OU. Computer Engineering majors can also use MTH 241 as their math/science elective credit.

If you wish an Associate of Arts degree, 60 semester credit hours are required.
