NMC Transfer Guide - MACRAO

To: Spring Arbor University - University Center

Program: Bachelor of science in organizational management

"The Bachelor of Science in Organizational Management provides expertise in management, human dynamics, and organizational development for business and public administration. The program takes a systems approach to the problems, principles, and practices of management, incorporating conceptual and theoretical knowledge."

REQUIREMENTS AND CREDIT OPTIONS

A minimum of 58 transferable credits are required in order to enter SAU’s bachelor degree completion programs. Transferable credits are defined as completed courses at the 100 level or higher receiving a grade of at least 2.0. To complete the Bachelor of Science in Organization Management, a total of 124 credits, including the fulfillment of general education requirements, are needed; 38 credits are earned in the major. The uniqueness of SAU is that students have a variety of options for completing credits. Up to 30 college credits can be earned based on life learning experience (licenses, seminars, etc.), through CLEP tests, through life learning papers, on-line courses, or credit earned from other colleges, including NMC. As part of the 58 transferable credits, it would be beneficial for a transferring student to complete the MACRAO agreement at NMC, however, it is not necessary for admission. Students are required to complete Spring Arbor's general education or the MACRAO agreement. Students can use classes (once MACRAO is completed) from both Spring Arbor and NMC to complete an Associate in Science and Arts degree from NMC. Since every student’s coursework profile is different, students are urged to speak with a Spring Arbor University advisor to better design a personalized plan for completing this degree.
