NMC Transfer Guide - MTA

To: University of Michigan - Ann Arbor

Program: Engineering

The knowledge and discipline gained from undergraduate engineering study is excellent preparation for careers in business, law, and medicine. Many graduates continue on for master's or doctorate degrees. Professional Engineering licensure usually requires four years of experience followed by a qualifying exam offered by the state in which the license is sought.

Admission Criteria

GPA -  Competative applicants for transfer admission will have completed prerequisite courses with a minimum cumulative GPA  of 3.0. Due to the competative nature of the Engineering programs, a 3.5 may be more realistic.

The College of Engineering offers 15 degree programs:

    • Aerospace Engineering
    • Biomedical Engineering
    • Chemical Engineering
    • Climate and Space Sciences and Engineering
    • Civil Engineering
    • Computer Engineering
    • Computer Science (Linear Algebra required at UofM, not MTH 251.)
    • Electrical Engineering
    • Engineering Physics
    • Environmental Engineering
