The following classes will meet most of the general education requirements at Wayne State University (WSU).  Specific majors may require courses which could be counted toward general education, but are not offered at NMC.  Please speak with a counselor at NMC and make contact with WSU as early in your academic career as possible.

   1. 2.0 GPA (the GPA may be higher depending upon major)
   2. WSU is a MACRAO member, and it would be to your advantage to use the MACRAO agreement. Speak with a counselor for details.

The math competency requirement at Wayne can be met by taking MTH 140 or Mth 121 & 122. If you do not complete this requirement, you will be required to take the placement test at Wayne, even if you have completed Mth 121. If your major requires additional math, and you've not completed that math at N.M.C. you will be required to take the math placement test at Wayne regardless of math taken at N.M.C.

Foreign Culture    
This requirement may be met by completing the first semester of the second year of a foreign language, or by completing a course at W.S.U.

Courses in your major and courses you may have taken and not listed above may meet general education  requirements.  Be sure to meet with an advisor at W.S.U.
