Phone Appointment Form

This form is primarily for students taking online classes.

In order to receive phone consultation assistance from the Writing & Reading Center (WRC) via our submission form, you must be able to have a day and time during our Monday-Friday business hours, that you can speak with someone on the phone about your paper. This phone conference typically takes 30-60 minutes.

To make an appointment for a phone conference, please plan ahead and do the following:

  1. Fill out completely the form below and attach your draft. (Your paper must be in .rtf, .doc or .docx format. Please double-space it and number the pages/paragraphs.)
  2. Follow the directions to send the submission form to us at least two business days before your desired phone conference times, so that we can find and confirm an open time slot.
  3. Talk to us (by phone or in person) to confirm your appointment time.
    • FYI: We will call you once we find an open slot, after we receive your submission form and draft.
    • If you do not hear back from us within two weekdays, please call us to confirm that we received your submission form.
    • If you send a request during the evening or weekend, please be patient until our full staff returns during weekday hours.

Questions? Contact the Writing & Reading Center at (231) 995-1189 or writingcenter@nmc.edu.

Please indicate your top four dates and times for us to call you to discuss your paper within our weekday hours.
