The major in business administration is designed to prepare individuals for the changing nature of the work environment in business, government, and non-profit organizations, equipping graduates not only for entry-level positions but for advancement as well. The program builds upon a solid core of business courses, featuring a tight sequence of major courses; however, the program also provides the flexibility to specialize in an area of interest or to obtain a minor through a careful selection of College of Business electives and free electives. A major in business administration is also valuable as preparation for law school.

Aviation Option: Operated concurrently with NMC’s Aviation division, the program trains pilots and equips them with skills for the business world. You will earn a BS in Business Administration with an Aviation Concentration through FSU. The FSU College of Business is accredited by ACBSP (Association of Collegiate Business Schools and Programs). NMC’s Aviation Division has earned a reputation for excellence with graduates flying world-wide as commercial pilots, corporate pilots, and freight pilots.

Maritime Deck Officer Option**:  NMC's Great Lakes Maritime Academy, cadets can earn a BS in Business Administration with a concentration in Maritime Management. This program is intended to increase opportunity for Maritime Academy graduates, preparing them for management positions with shipping companies, shipyards, ports and non-maritime businesses. You will be uniquely qualified for management positions within the maritime industry, having both a U.S. Coast Guard Merchant Marine Officer’s License and a strong academic preparation in business. The FSU College of Business is accredited by ACBSP (Association of Collegiate Business Schools and Programs).

Maritime Engine Officer Option**: NMC’s Great Lakes Maritime Academy. Cadets can earn a BS in Business Administration with a concentration in Maritime Management.
