Students are introduced to an applied field of study with a conceptual foundation drawn from psychology, education, home management, sociology, law, economics, social work, philosophy, biology and theology. The curriculum addressed human and family development issues throughout the life span. Potential career options exist with businesses and organizations such as intervention services, retirement/convalescent homes, schools, pregnancy centers, youth programs, corrections facilities, day care centers, and health and human services. Approved by the National Council on Family Relations (NCFR) and includes coursework that leads to the Certified Family Life Educator (CFLE) designation.
