Environmental Studies

Grand Valley State University

Students enrolled in the Environmental Studies minor, offered in conjunction with the BA/BS Liberal Studies program, will explore multiple dimensions on human-environmental interactions: socio-cultural, scientific, technological, political, and economic. They will also develop an understanding of sustainability concepts, acquire experience in interdisciplinary collaboration, and become familiar with basic field research focused on local environmental issues. Environmental careers include many types of positions−from forestry to public administration, research to community outreach, environmental management to eco-tourism, and everything in between.
