Business Administration (MBA)
Master of Business Administration
The Master of Business Administration (MBA) program at Lawrence Technological University is designed for those who wish to advance their careers and attain senior management positions in a wide range of business environments. Developed with working professionals in mind, Lawrence Tech's MBA can be completed in as few as 24 months.
The business world continues to change and evolve, and so should your MBA. Promoting active learning rather than the "read, look, listen, and take an exam" approach found in many traditional MBA programs, Lawrence Tech provides you with a broad understanding of business management that can enable you to function effectively as a leader in today's global society. You will be encouraged to develop a cross-disciplinary approach to managing organizations, and you will have opportunities to enhance your abilities in such areas as problem solving, communication, and team building - skills demanded by today's corporate environment.
The MBA is a modular-cohort program with its course schedule preset upon acceptance into the program. That is, students take two courses per term and progress through the program with the same group of classmates.
All classes are offered in a schedule that requires the students to attend three-in person weekend sessions over a two-month period of time. These on-ground sessions are on Friday evenings (6–9 p.m.) and Saturdays (8:30 a.m.–3:30 p.m.). Distance learning technologies are used to supplement the learning between class meetings.
You may enter the program in the fall, spring, or summer semester. Your completed application package should be received by the Office of Admissions no later than two weeks before the start of classes. (Academic calendars are available at ltu.edu/registrars_office.)
