Program: Automotive Management
Students wishing to transfer to Ferris State University in Automotive Management (formally Automotive & Heavy Equipment Management), could complete the Associates of Applied Science degree in Automotive Service Technology at NMC and complete additional classes at NMC toward their program at FSU. Below is a description of the program, and admission requirements. In addition is a list of classes from NMC that will complete most of FSU general education requirements.
"The automotive and heavy equipment industry needs managers and representatives with up to date technical, managerial and communication skills. Manufacturers need service, sales, parts and customer relations representatives. Positions exist in dealerships and repair centers and include service management, parts management, sales, leasing and general management. There are other management positions such as: aftermarket managers, fleet managers, technical writers, trainers and government agent managers."
Admission Requirements
- Students must have completed a minimum of 48 total semester credits; have completed the Associates degree in Automotive Service Technology or have completed a minimum of 40 semester hours of technical automotive related (AT credits)
- Minimum GPA 2.3
- The additional coursework beyond the Associates Degree will complete the Associates of Science and Arts Degree.
- If you choose not to complete the additional general education courses as outlined below, you will be required to complete general education requirements at Ferris.

Education Requirements
NMC Associates of Applied Science with MTA Agreement outlined below. Completion of the Basic requirements, as listed, at NMC will fulfill the general requirements at FSU. Upon request at the NMC Records and Registration Office, a statement will be placed on your transcript, "MICHIGAN TRANSFER AGREEMENT (MTA) SATISFIED".
