Program: Zoology
The Bachelor of Science degree program in zoology is for students who seek professional employment in animal biology, Veterinary Medicine, or who seek admission to health-related professional schools such as Dental School, Medical School, Genetics, Neurobiology, etc. Students can choose one of six zoology concentrations at MSU:
- Animal Behavior and Neurobiology
- Cell & Developmental Biology
- Ecology, Evolution, & Organismal Biology
- Genetics
- General Zoology
- Marine Biology
- Zoo & Aquarium Science
Admission Criteria
- Admission – Transfer students are admitted into the zoology department as juniors & must have a minimum of 56 acceptable credits.
- Transferable Credits – MSU will accept a maximum of 60 credits from a community college.
Basic Requirements
The following courses are listed to facilitate transfer and fulfill University requirements at MSU. These courses may not fulfill requirements for the Associate of Arts or Science degree at NMC. If your goal is to complete an associate's degree before transferring, see an advisor for assistance.
Upon request at the NMC Records and Registration Office, a statement will be placed on your transcript, "MICHIGAN TRANSFER AGREEMENT (MTA) SATISFIED".
